Ich weiß, das war auch der Hauptgrund warum ich mich wieder für eine Nvidia-Karte entschieden habe. Es liegt anscheinend auch nicht an der Karte selbst, sondern an der Kombination mit einer On-Board-Karte.

On laptops that don't have that hardware mux (i.e. where the display is hard-wired to the Intel display engine), then you currently cannot use the NVIDIA GPU for display, though you should still be able to use it for CUDA and offscreen rendering.

Toll, ich kann meine Geforce GT 550M jetzt für offscreen-rendering verwenden...
Ich brauch das Energiespar-Zeugs ja gar niciht, ich will doch nur meine Nvida-Karte mit 3D-Beschleunigung (im idealfall mit dem proprietären Treiber) laufen lassen :( Ich kann ohne Treiber anscheinend nicht mal die OpenGL-Integration für Qt kompilieren -.-

Im Prinzip fügt man das Repository zu den Paketquellen hinzu, installiert Bumblebee, fügt den Benutzer zur Gruppe hinzu und fertig. Danach kann man Programme über "optirum programm" starten.
glxgears zuerst mit Intel- und danach mit Nvidia-Grafikkarte:

Ich sehe hier vorrangig eine mit dem Monitor synchronisierte Ausgabe im Vergleich zu Rechnen bis zum Umfallen.

Von einem Grafikkartenwechsel sehe ich noch nix!? Was natürlich nicht heißen muss, dass er nicht stattfindet.
